AIM:  is to teach you a technique that will help you to take beautiful photos.

TASK:  you will research the ‘Rule of Thirds’ and then put the theory into practice by taking your own photos.
Using the internet and books you will research ‘Rule of Thirds’ and answer the following questions. Don’t forget to list websites visited and books used in a bibliography.

1. Explain what the ‘Rule of Thirds’ is? How do you use this technique? Explain why good photographers use the ‘Rule of Thirds’? ½ Page       /10

2. Draw the lines in a box to show how the rule of thirds is divided.   /3

 

3. Explain why we use the ‘Rule of Thirds’?  ½ page     /7

4. Using magazines, find 5 photographs that prove the ‘Rule of Thirds’. Lightly mark in the lines on each picture.          /3

5. Using the information gathered take 10 photos using the ‘Rule of Thirds’ concept. /10
